DIY Tassel Christmas tree

switch the photo frame for a canvas, a cardboard cutout, or any base you like.
use different yarn colors for the various layers of the Christmas tree.
make a fun background with Christmas wrapping papers or keep it neutral for a minimal look, maybe with just a simple natural green on a white background! I have used a bright striped craft paper I had on hand.
make it in a size of a Christmas Tree ornament!

What we need:

Yarn
A picture frame or a canvas
Fun background (optional). I used a design from my craft book
A star (optional)
A small dowel or toothpicks for the stem (optional)

Let’s do it!

Based on the size of your frame and the size of the tree, make the required amount of tassels.
Glue on or tape the background to the frame/canvas
Layout the tassels, leaving enough space for the stem and the star on the top.
Hot glue in the tassels in the shape of a Christmas tree.
Add in a stem and a star.
